Mahabaleshwar - The Freezer

To start with Maha-Baleshwar outing, I need to first introduce all the kir-kiris & Nalayaks also know as Headaches!!!!

Here is a list of Kir Kiris

1. Meenakshi
2. Pavan
3. Prajna
4. Prena
5. Shubhangi
6. Sneha
7. Umesh 
8. Vivek 

Meenakshi - Alias Loud Speaker, its loud speaker because her volume is too high, can't be heard by human years, Also a leader for organizing event, outings & arranging things, whichever the outing is it starts with her mail, with full description of place, food, weather etc. 

Pavan - Also known as Dude or Motu who has a belly!!, Cool to hangout with, this person is organizer of beverages, I hope you got it what I meant, As its me, I feel I shouldn't write much about myself... lol.. 

Prajna - Alia Pajja, Shemadi, Kandil and very famous Dim, her nose will be flowing always, so carries a dozens of hankies with her always.

Prena - I specially would like to give her a new name The Lost World because she will be always lost in her own world. People also call her as Bhai, Dude, she is all tom boyish kind. 

Shubhangi - Alias Shubbi, Komadi, Stick and many more she seems to be like matured but when I observe her in outing, my doubt gets cleared that she is not at all matured, I meant she behaves like a kid in outing, playing around with the stick, singing song, This gal is mother of Kir kiri

Sneha - Alias Honda City as her last name is Hondadkatti, will be silent & observing everyone. We tease her like Moti, she cooks nice food & gets for us. (Also Meenakshi)

Umesh - My special name goes to him like this Um-Ass, one of the matured guy & fun to be with, he handles all the expenses, in short he is chalta-firta (mobile) expense manager, his nick names are like Immu, Ummi, Umya. 

Vivek - Phew, finally came to the most Kir kiri person in the group, he can be referred as Mr. Kirkiri, nice driver, usually he takes care of all vehicle arrangements, he manages well though does everything in last moment.

As we all were very excited to meet each, we text-ed everyone each day & also started Counting days.

Finally the day came where we had to leave Bangalore to Belgaum. I, Prena & Pajja were travelled to Belgaum, I & dude got down near my place where as Pajja was dropped by Vivek to Sneha's house

We reached early, I was sitting in room & heard somebody wishing Dad "Good Morning uncle" I thought it was Paper Wala, then Dad was like "Pavan, Umesh has come." so finally I was happy to see him, then 3 of us got ready.

Mom had prepared Poha (Paddy) we 3 were having & got a call from Vivek, asked him also to have. then I heard melodious voice singing "Tu Mera Hero", I was wondering who must be it, then it was Loud Speaker, she looked all fresh & Gorgeous, as she had left her hair wearing a hair band. She was looking damn pretty.

As we were getting late, we had to pick up other Headaches as well, one headache was just reached Bus Stand from Hubli, funniest part was nobody was ready to pick her up, by God's grace driver had some work near Bus Stand, unfortunately I had to go pick her up. Saddest part.

Then driver was fixing our bags in top of the Tavera, my neighbor were seeing standing outside, as if they haven't seen any car so far. Then we left to pick up Pajja & Sneha.

As soon as Tavera stopped, it was Vivek who ran first to Sneha's house, as if he has to go urgent to washroom, then I saw one lady coming in Red top, white leggins & white footwear, leaving her hair around the neck with help of hair band, You guessed it right, it was Sneha, she looked the prettiest :) .

She was carrying Kumkum and Agarbatti to worship the Tavera, I got to know the journey will be safe & too much of fun. Indeed it was.

Now its time of our Miss. Late, I guess most of you got it, Its our Shemadi, as usual late, carrying her bag, I liked that bike. She too looked gorgeous, wearing pink color top & jeans. Already the time was 10:00 am thought we will be leaving now, then got a shock.

Got call from Roaming!! Pune number, due to some issues Shubbi can't make it, after the news it was fun to see Pajja's face, she was upset as her girlfriend isn't coming, but no problem there were others too, she can manage with them. ROFL..

Now it was 11:15 thought now at least will leave but Mr. Vivek got a call from XYZ stating that they want to see him, which everyone didn't expect, actually he had been to see a gal at this time too...

Vivek was having nice coffe, sitting in AC, we were frying ourself in car, now the time is 12:10 pm, finally left from Belgaum.


Belgaum to Mahabaleshwar

As travelling in car, its essential to listen music, so our DJ Mr. Umesh was on the floor he started music, all are retro music (70's - 90's), as everyone knows lyrics, each one started singing very loudly & started to dedicate songs to each other.

Loud Speaker, The Lost World and Sandy were sitting in middle seat, remaining all were at the back, journey was awesome and safe too as vehicle was worshiped by Sneha. As soon as we reached Maharastra we were thirsty, at some Toll gate saw Sugar cane juice stall, all had sugar cane juice except Me & Umesh as we had tender coconut.

Sugarcane was like Sneha , Prena & Meenakshi very sweet & tasty too but tender coconut was like me, no taste at all.

Then again headed back to journey, reached Kolhapur saw duplicate Rainbow :) but The Lost World missed it, as she was sleeping in Cab as if she wasn't slept for years!!!!! As the time was around 3 all were behaving like hungry birds, then we stopped at some Dhaba. 

As soon as entered Dhaba I & Umesh rushed to washroom but realized that washroom doesn't have top, I was at least happy because open top doesn't stink.

Time to order food!!, one of the confusing moment, but still ordered perfectly but Vivek wanted to have chicken but rest of them wanted to have only Veg, finally he convinced Prajna but don't take its seriously, I was just fooling you around saying "finally he convinced Prajna" he didn't convince instead she always fond of Non-veg.

We ordered Masur, Kaju Paneer, Chichken Masala and Roties, the food was yum. I was the one who was taking care of all food expenses, so I rushed near counter to pay the bill, where I noticed a fresh Sugar cane juice, then I asked the owner whats this (though I was knowing it). He was like "Saheb Ganna cha Juice" he offered me for free, without seeing anything I accepted & drank. I was happy because it was free and fresh too :)

Back to Tavera, as everyone was full everyone was drowsy, Initially Prena slept as if she has taken sleeping pills, then Sandy, then Sneha, she was feeling uncomfortable as seat covered was irritating then, finally she managed to get a jacket & cover.

Then comes a turn were you need to divert from NH4 to Mahaleshwar road, which is near to Wye, there we had to stop to get fresh, everyone preferred tea but I, Meena & Umesh drank Mirinda. Then I shifted to front seat as I wanted to see the awesome Ghat & scenery.



First evening at Mahabaleshwar

As soon we entered Mahabaleshwar we were hunting for Anjuman School as our resort Forest Valley Resort was near to the school. Finally reached the resort but the road to resort was kinda Roller Coaster. 
Everyone was so relieved as soon as we reached the resort entrance as everyone was exhausted keeping their bums on seat, ROFL!!!.

I saw the owner, he looked like choreographer (ABCD movie dablu), Lawn & garden attracted my eye as it was cool, then we got a keys or Cottage 1 & Cottage 6 which was allotted for gals & dudes respectively. I was the first to rush to rooms, not to see how they but I wanted to go to washroom, lolz.

Cottage 1 is in the top & 6 was at the bottom, had to walk a distance, Meenakshi was like I will lose weight within these 2 days by running here to there.

Cottages were awesome, I didn't imagine they will be so awesome, These all were built by wood, each one having gallery, beds were also clean, washroom was perfect too, Cottage 1 was having roof where 2 people can stay there. It was Prena's best place (only for 1st days).

There was a kitty, lovely one, which I was holding it, later Sandy & Meena joined, I was kinda warm so kitty came & sat on my laps. Both Sandy & Meena were jealous. Then I handover-ed the kitty. Then as usual all Miss had to do make up, all sent us out.

Then I & Umesh went out to get cards & to have a coffee, we bought coffee for Meena, Prena, Sandy & Pajja as well.

We ordered food at resort itself, first day ordered all veg, menu was Junka, Paneer, daal, Roties and Rice. We had food in a long dining table, returned back to cottage. We turned up sofa into flat bed, all 8 of sat there itself covering ourselfs in blanket.

What do you expect after this? As usual playing Antakshari, I wasn't supporting any of the team, I was just enjoying the songs. Don't expect they were melodious. I had to sing my favorite song as well Mera Mann. 
As we were busy in having no one noticed about the timings & it was 1.

So everyone wanted to sleep, we just gave a farewell for the day. Prena slept at top. Meena & Sneha were sleeping on flat bed finally our queens Pajja & Sandy slept on bed.

I, Umesh & Vivek went back to our 6, as soon as door opened I jumped on bed first & slept in middle, so that I should be covered by blanket, as there was only one blanket. Finally I was safe sleeping in middle.
Now time to say good night but none of us said, just slept calmly.

First Day in Mahabaleshwar

On first day, I got up early from Room no 6, did all my morning properties, as soon as I went out heard loud speaker's voice, she is the leader & other kir kiris following her, Prena, Pajja, Sneha, Sandy. They came & sprinkled water on Vivek & Umesh. 

Finally everyone got up from Room No 6, they photo session started as usual. We were suppose to become Gandhiji ke 4 Bandar, yes you heard right, 4 Bandar.

Still we failed as instructed to Sneha to hold nose but she held ears like me, you can see in the above picture. 

Everyone got ready, we(Umesh, Vivke, of course me) specially taking bath in transparent bathroom. As usual gals always late, then they served breakfast which is free!! I mean't which included in the manifest. 

We had Poha (beaten paddy) & Sheera (sweet). Oops before that we had tea. Then finally left to see the sightings. As the road isn't good at all, had to walk for 500 mts. As there was a fight for seats, Meena, Vivek, Umesh and of course me, were waiting near the place where driver usually use to stop, others went ahead of us. 

Now comes the tough time, searching a guide, we had informed one guy, who was busy doing his Bank transactions so we dropped plan of hiring him. There comes one guy Mr. Nitin, who was thin, he agreed for 700 rs. 

He kinda explained nice about the places & film shootings that happened in Mahabaleshwar. 

First half of the day, the places that we visited are.

1. Pratap Garden
As known as Suicide point, here the wind blows very fast, once the English writer threw his pen cap & it came back to him again. This dumb guy thought that if jumps from top he will come back to the same place where he jumped, I guess he didn't read the physics. Finally that dumb guy jumped & suicided so they call it as suicide point.

It was very rush here, as everyone was taking pics, we were literally standing in queue to take photos.

2. Tiger Spring

Its names as Tiger Spring because Tigers use to come here to drink water, The water here is not less than distilled or mineral water. Sometimes good to taste water too!

3. Hunting Point
Its the place where Britons use to hunt tigers, you can see a clear view from the top also there is no chance of getting attacked by Tigers. 



4. Echo Point
As name suggests its a echo creation point, guide asked to scream louder being 8 people we failed to scream louder, then he gave a demo. we followed his instructions and here comes 1, 2, 3 .. Anjali. As there is weight in name it echoed 4 times.


5. Monkey Point
A formation rock which looks like 3 monkey, perhaps not Gandhiji's. Everyone could see it but pajja wasn't able to see it, she tried her best but couldn't make it.

6. Panchganga Mandir
This is as known as Mahabaleshwar temple. The place is too cool & you can feel the cosmic energy, in simple it gives peace of mind. Which Meena & Prena missed it.

The specialty of this temple is the birth place for 5 rivers
1.Krishna
2. Savitri
3. Venna 
4. Koyna
5. Gayatri 

7. Shiva Mandir
Here the the Lord Shiva can been seen by the formation of rock naturally.
